I work at an opera company, and the costume department is always finding that the measurements they've been given for singers do not match the person when he or she arrives for fittings. Even when the measurements have been taken by other professional costumers! A lot of it has to do with people's definition of where to take each measurement. I know how I measure a centre back, for instance, but it may not start and stop at the same point as when you do it. And then there's just plain sloppiness!Wulfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05398018377191270401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6612366088668702020.post-23515629120736224702011-09-06T08:43:21.659-04:002011-09-06T08:43:21.659-04:00Mistress of Disguise- Definitely have to check tha...Mistress of Disguise- Definitely have to check that one out. It takes place in the 1870s or 80s, and has this wonderful Japanese madame in it that wears these beautiful Asian influenced bustle gowns. :) The movie itself isn't that great, but the costuming was beautiful.Mistress of Disguisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12026149318569869306noreply@blogger.com
