STATUS UPDATE

So I officially have been diagnosed with Tennis Elbow, Golfer's Elbow and Carpal Tunnel. I have a test scheduled for Monday to determine the extent of the Carpal Tunnel. Thus, no sewing for me for the next month, until my elbow(s) heal up (which hopefully will be soon, since I'm laying off the things I do at my embroidery job that caused the damage in the first place). Stupid fricken day job! Also, hearing 'you're too young to have these problems' from every person you admit your problem to, including the doctor is rather depressing. I'm just looking at it as it just means I work so hard that I've developed the sort of repetitive work injuries in 5 years that it takes factory workers 20 years to sustain. Yay me! (That's sarcasm if it doesn't read well).

Needless to say, it's been depressing to have to turn away/delay the sewing commissions I get this time of year. Not because I make a lot of money from them (because I definitely don't even clear minimum wage for my efforts), but because I enjoy the challenge and creative process, and that someone has a unique piece I made for them to (hopefully) enjoy!

I still have a finished project or two to share when I get the chance, so stay tuned...
